There's no planet B!

In reading this term our focus has been looking at articles around Climate Change. We have been doing speeches about it and what we need to do to help. We made books/comics about endangered animals which is still part of climate change. We've also been making things to help our earth in PBL. My PBL group is making a solar powered cooker that we already finished.

I have learnt that: We don't need to use solar panels for collecting energy because we can use black paper and tinfoil. Solar panels also help our earth because instead of using electricity (from power plants), we should use nature's energy (the sun).

New words that I have discovered are:
  • Methane: Methane is a greenhouse gas with high potential for global warming.
  • Greenhouse Gas: It's a type of gas that effects climate change and pollutes our earth which also comes from a cow's farts.
  • Conservation: prevention of wasteful use of a resource.
  • Fossil Fuel: Fossil fuels are the fuel that we use for cars. They create lots of smoke and are found underground.

I have created a Climate Change Strike Poster:

What will you do to help the environment and why?
